Like the 25 mile option, the 50 mile route is one of the most popular weekend warrior rides in the area, following the south end Lake Washington then north to Bellevue and back to Seattle across I-90 with a rolling Mercer Island lap along the way.
With just shy of 2300 feet of elevation along the way, you’ll want to include some hills in your training regimen. There are a few noteworthy climbs you’ll encounter, but none are particularly long or steep, and a fair bit the elevation comes in the form of rolling hills around Mercer Island. You might find yourself annoyed by some of the hills, but certainly not defeated!
