Basic Matching Requirements
- Must be to a 501c3 with an EIN
- Must be a single donation of $20 or more (2 x $10 monthly donations aren’t eligible)
- You have 1 year from date of donation to claim the match
- Up to $1500 will be matched per FY
Steps
- On the Partner Hub homepage, under the “I need to…” menu, select Request a Matching Donation
- Scroll down to the sign in here link, then log in with Starbucks network ID and password (your computer login)
- Click Partner Match on the top menu, then log in to the CyberGrants portal with your partner number (if prompted)
Fill out the form to locate Fred Hutch (Click image to view large)
Note: The Obliteride/Fred Hutch tax id is 237156071- Enter the name of the rider/team you are supporting with your donation in the Designation field (e.g. “Erik Marone/Starbucks Team Siren”)
- You can use N/A for the Organization Contact Name
- Select to Email the NonProfit and enter info@obliteride.org so Starbucks can verify your gift and process the matching gift.
Notes
- Matching gifts are processed quarterly, so you may not see your matching gifts applied to your Obliteride tally for up to three months.
- You can check the status of the matching process in the community service site at any time.
- If you are having trouble locating the EIN for other organizations you wish to submit for matching, the GuideStar site offers comprehensive search tools.
- If you volunteer regularly somewhere, you can also ask for a time match if your total time exceeds 25 hours. If you donating 25-49 hours, the nonprofit receives $250. 50-74 hours = $500. 75-99 hours = $750. Over 100 hours = $1000!!
